We are sad to announce the passing of our longtime member Stanislaw Frackiewicz.

Mr. Frackiewicz came to Los Angeles in 1967 and was a very active member of many of local Polonia's organizations. He passed away July 19, 2020, surrounded by his family.

For the last few years he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Center. We will miss his ideas, his humor, and his willingness to always express his opinion.

Polish Center assisted 2 wheelchair bound young Polish travellers who have driven across South America and are now on their way to Alaska.

Maciek Kaminski, 33, and Michal Woroch, 34, are driving a specially adopted Land Rover and have so far covered 40000 km and 14 countries.

After spending longer than anticipated in LA due to engine failure, they have departed for Alaska then plan on driving to New York, which will mark the end of their odyssey.

Polish Center was glad to be able to support their efforts with a small donation.

They are two incredibly brave, imaginative, funny guys with unbelievable spirit. They firmly believe their handicap is not the end of the world and are proving this daily.
